Leadership Camp

Leadership Training/JC program 

    Three Pines Day Camp Leadership Program is for high school age students and is designed around the ACA  guidelines for Junior Counselors (JC’s)/Leadership Training Program. Leadership training includes participation all activities on site including overnights and cookouts. TPDC Mentorship is for students enrolled in the Leadership Camp  that want to become JCs' ( Junior Counselor) They will also spend time with other groups helping counselors with their activities an instruction. JCs'' will also help facilitate special events such as the Open House and Potlucks.

Requirements

•1st year 
Must send email on way the want to work at camp
   
•2nd year
Must email on why they want to continue to become a JC  of recommendation and if selected will be asked to return at no cost.
 
•3rd year
Must email an essay on their experiences at camp,  a letter of recommendation. Upon acceptance JC will receive an Honorarium  for their  services.

Basic Schedule for JCs'

First Day

9:30- 12:30 Getting to know each other/Tour the camp
12:30   Lunch
1:00-3:30    Leadership Training

The first day we'll be learning the site and how to use and guide activities, getting to know each other and all the different counselors.

Special event schedule will be passed out in registration packet.

Definitions:

Special Events
    Open House, Cookouts, Carnivals, Overnights, ans Potlucks

    Time for Junior Counselors to get to know each other, talk and re cap on the day.

Group Time
    Is time spent with the campers, helping counselors with instruction, facilitating, and clean-up.

Leadership Training
     Program area designed to introduce leadership concepts and skills.
